Hey there! My name is Marianne Bay and
this is my blog. I'm a part time collar seamstress for Aroo Studio
{We make cute, eco friendly dog collars and leashes} and a full time
amateur photographer... I was taking pictures of my food before it
was cool.{So hipster, I know. Ha} I was born and raised in
California's Bay Area. I've lived here most of my life except for the
three years I recently spent in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I have THE best
dog ever, a German Short Hair Pointer/Pit Bull mix named Kodi. I got
him from a shelter when he was 4 months old. He will be 10 years in
June, 2013. Right now, he's keeping my Dad company in Indiana but we
will be reunited in January, 2013. Can. Not. Wait. I'm obsessed with
karaoke, dying my hair crazy colors, the British television show
“Misfits” and everything vintage. I also LOVE old films from the
50's and 60's. My favorite is Gidget, starring Sandra Dee. My Grandma
says that films from that era are, in fact, not old... My favorite
band is...Wait, what?! I could never pick just one! But some of my
favs are Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Joy Division, New Order, Bon Iver, The XX,
Youth Lagoon and Radiohead {does anyone NOT like Radiohead?} My
favorite song of the moment is David Bowie's Heroes {this changes all
the time!} My favorite cocktail is a perfectly chilled Gin Martini,
dirty. My favorite food is sushi. And cheese. I use the word “dude.”
Probably more than I should. Hey, I'm from California! I also use a lot of
commas, see?
